Short answer: Five of our sofa collections have hidden storage: Atmosphere, Neptune, Orian, Ciello and Gaia. Atmosphere, Neptune and Orian build storage into seats and corners, while Ciello and Gaia keep it in a storage ottoman. If you need a bed too, Neptune is the one where the sleeper seats themselves hold storage, at about 48 litres each. On Orian and Atmosphere the storage and sleeper pieces are separate.
Hidden storage is easy to promise and easy to misread. A listing may mean a seat, a corner, an ottoman or a separate version of the sofa, and each one changes how much you can keep and where you reach it. All five collections are modular, so you choose the pieces that hold storage and the pieces that do not. The table shows where the storage sits in each one.

Litres alone do not tell you what fits. As general advice, not a product specification, compare the depth of the space with the thickest item you want to store. A Neptune sleeper seat and a Gaia ottoman are shallow, so they suit flat, folded items better than bulky ones. How does storage work in Atmosphere, Neptune and Orian?
These three collections build storage into the seating, but each one organizes it differently.
- Atmosphere: the Atmosphere sofa comes in Regular, Storage and Sleeper versions. The Storage version hides a compartment in the seat base of each seat, corner and ottoman. Each version has its own seat height, so the types are not compatible with one another and you choose one type for the whole sofa. Our Atmosphere guide has the full comparison.
- Neptune: the Neptune sofa bed has storage in its storage seats, its corner seat and each sleeper seat. The Storage Only version has storage in each seat and does not convert to a bed, so it is a regular modular sofa with hidden storage. See our Neptune guide for sizes and fabrics.
- Orian: the Orian sofa bed has dedicated storage seats, corners and ottomans next to its sleeper seats. Choose Queen Bed, Single Bed or Storage Only, and the Storage Only version swaps the sleeper seats for storage seats. Our Orian guide covers the bed sizes.

How do Ciello and Gaia handle storage?
Ciello and Gaia are our soft, loose-cushion collections, and their storage sits in an ottoman instead of in the seats, so you add it only where you want it.
The Ciello storage ottoman holds 75 litres and works as a footrest, an extra seat or a place for blankets. It is the same height as the Ciello seat at 21.3 inches (54 cm). The Gaia storage ottoman is also 21.3 inches (54 cm) high, and the product page gives its inside space at 26.8 x 26.8 x 7.6 inches (68 x 68 x 19.3 cm), which suits blankets, pillows and other lounge room essentials. Which sleepers offer storage and a bed?
Only some sleepers offer both in the same piece, so this is the question to settle first if you host guests.
- Neptune: each sleeper seat has its own compartment of about 23.2 x 22.8 x 5.5 inches (59 x 58 x 14 cm), with about 48 litres of storage by simple rectangular volume, and a compatible Neptune storage ottoman holds about 40 litres. The bedding can live inside the sofa, and our Sleep Kit adds a mattress topper to cushion the sleeping surface.
- Orian: the sleeper seats do not include storage. You add storage seats, a corner or the 80-litre ottoman beside them. An Orian storage seat holds about 90 litres, but it is a separate piece.
- Atmosphere: the Sleeper version opens to a surface of about 88.6 x 59.1 inches (225 x 150 cm) and does not hold storage, and the Storage version does not convert to a bed. Because the versions cannot be combined, choose Atmosphere for one job or the other.

What is the best storage furniture for a family lounge room?
For most families, a sofa with built-in storage is the first layer, because it adds capacity without adding another piece of furniture. Blankets, toys, games and charging cables are the usual items, and they are easiest to manage when each has a home within reach of the sofa.
The sofa covers part of the job, and the rest of the room covers the rest:
- Close to the sofa: a storage seat or ottoman from one of the collections above, for items you use daily.
- Media and games: the Aurora credenza is 32.1 x 15.0 x 18.5 inches (81.5 x 38.2 x 47 cm) as one unit, and two units measure 64.2 inches wide and three units 96.3 inches wide. Our guide to choosing a credenza or media unit shows how to size it.

What about covers and cleaning on a storage sofa?
Storage does not change how the covers work. On Atmosphere, Neptune, Orian, Ciello and Gaia the seat and back cushion covers are removable. On Atmosphere, Gaia and Ciello the arm and base covers are removable too. On Neptune and Orian the arm and base covers are fixed, so spills on those need spot cleaning. For most of our fabrics, the care text on the product pages says to machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and air dry.

Start with where you want the storage, then check the room.
- Storage plus a guest bed in one piece: Neptune, with about 48 litres in each sleeper seat.
- A Queen bed and the most storage per module: Orian, with 90-litre storage seats and an 80-litre ottoman beside the sleeper seats.
- Storage built into a medium-firm, structured sofa: the Atmosphere Storage version, with about 79.4 litres in each storage seat, corner and ottoman.
- A deep, soft sofa with one storage piece: Ciello with its 75-litre ottoman, or Gaia with its ottoman.
- No guests and maximum hidden space: Neptune Storage Only or Orian Storage Only.
- A larger family room: pair the sofa with a credenza and a table with storage, so the sofa does not carry everything.
