What is the Orian sofa bed?
Orian is our compact modular sofa bed. Two sleeper seats make a queen bed on their own, with no extra modules or ottoman needed, and a single sleeper seat converts into a single-size bed. The integrated sleeper mechanism moves the seat from sofa to bed, and you can open one seat while leaving the other closed.
Like our other sofas, it is built from modules. Sleeper seats and storage seats are the building blocks, and a corner seat lets you build a sectional. A storage ottoman can be added and moves freely. Each arm adds 14 cm (5.5 inches) of width. Layouts range from a single seat to larger sectionals, so you can start small and add modules later.
The frame is plywood with a steel mechanism, and the cushions use foam and polypropylene fibre. Each seat module is rated to support up to 159 kg. Assembly is tool-free.

That queen surface of 157 x 202.5 cm (62 x 80 inches) is close to, but not identical with, an Australian Queen of 153 x 203 cm, so it is slightly wider and a little shorter.

How deep and high is the Orian seat?
Orian has a deep, relaxed seat. The Orian seat is 65 cm (25.5 inches) deep, 42.5 cm (16.7 inches) high, and the arm is 55.5 cm (22 inches) high. The back is 73 cm (28.7 inches) high measured from the floor, a lower back than our Neptune, with loose cushions.
The seat cushions are firm foam, and the back cushions are soft and fibre-filled. That pairing gives a supportive base with a more relaxed lean. If you like to curl up or sit cross-legged, the deep Orian seat suits you.

Is there a storage-only option?
Yes. On the Orian collection you choose between Queen Bed, Single Bed and Storage Only. Storage Only replaces the sleeper seats with storage seats, so the sofa looks the same and has hidden space in each seat, but it does not convert to a bed.
A storage seat holds 90 litres (3.2 cubic feet), and the storage modules together offer 90 to 100 litres. The compartment inside a storage seat measures 70.5 by 60.5 cm (27.8 by 23.8 inches) and is 21 cm (8.3 inches) deep. Sleeper seats do not include storage, so a queen-bed sofa trades storage for the bed.

The seat and back cushion covers on Orian are removable and machine washable. The arm and base covers are fixed, so spills on those need spot cleaning.
