What is the Mira chair?
Mira is our steel-frame accent chair. The frame is black powder-coated steel, the two armrests are solid ash with a walnut-coloured stain, and the seat is a fabric sling that attaches to the frame with zippers. Two cushion inserts sit on top of the sling and give the seat its soft, relaxed feel. Our product page describes the result as cloud-like comfort with a generous seat.
The chair ships as a kit: left and right arms, a seat frame, a back frame, the sling, a cushion cover, two cushion inserts and a hardware envelope. The back height depends on whether you count the cushion. Our product page lists 33.1 inches (84 cm), which is measured with the cushion. The frame alone, without the cushion, is 29.9 inches (76 cm).

What is the frame made of?
The frame is powder-coated black steel. Powder coating is a baked-on finish that gives the steel a smooth, even colour. The armrests are solid ash, stained in a walnut colour, which adds a warm timber accent to the metal.
The chair has plastic feet under the frame. The fabric is 100% polyester, and the cushion inserts are filled with polypropylene and cotton. Our product page lists Mira with a 5-year warranty.

Are the covers removable and washable?
Yes. Our product page lists removable, washable covers for Mira, and the sling attaches with zippers. Follow the care label for your fabric when you wash, because fabrics differ.

To keep the seat comfortable, fluff the cushion inserts by hand now and then. Lift the cushion, give it a few firm shakes, pat the edges and corners, and smooth it back into shape.
Who is Mira for?
Mira suits a person who wants a generous, relaxed seat in a chair with a clean, slightly industrial look.
