Frequently asked questions
What makes Ciello such a comfortable cloud sofa?
Ciello is one of our softest modular sofas, designed for that irresistible sink-in, cloud-like feeling. Its plush, feather-free cushions combine synthetic fibres with a supportive D35 high-density foam core. An additional 2-inch foam layer on top of the seat base enhances comfort, making Ciello a wonderfully inviting place to curl up, stretch out, and unwind.
What's the difference between Ciello Regular and Ciello XL?
Ciello XL offers approximately 2.75 inches more usable seat width and 4.7 inches more usable seat depth than Regular. Its overall sofa depth increases by approximately 2.75 inches. Both share the same signature cloud-like comfort and seat height, but XL gives you more room to curl up, sit cross-legged, or stretch out. Choose Regular for a more compact footprint or XL for extra lounging space.
Is Ciello comfortable for sitting upright or better for lounging?
Ciello is especially inviting for lounging, with soft cushions that gently surround you as you settle in. Its supportive foam core and padded base create a comfortable foundation beneath the plush filling. With a seat height of approximately 21 inches, Ciello also offers comfortable everyday seating. If you love a relaxed, sink-in experience, this is a wonderful choice.
What's the difference between Ciello's Original and High Angled backrests?
Both offer Ciello's signature comfort, but with different lounging experiences. The High Angled backrest is taller and more reclined than the Original, giving you additional support when leaning back. On Ciello Regular, it increases the overall back height by approximately 4 inches; on Ciello XL, by approximately 2.75 inches. Choose Original for a classic cloud-sofa silhouette or High Angled for a more reclined, supportive feel.
What's the comfort difference between Ciello and Gaia?
Ciello and Gaia share the same cushion construction (synthetic fibre around a D35 foam core, over a 2-inch D35 base layer), so their seating softness is very similar. The main difference is how they support your back. Gaia has a taller, more upright backrest with higher back cushions, while Ciello offers Original and High Angled backrest options. Both deliver cloud-like comfort, with different lounging experiences and silhouettes.
Is Ciello a modular sofa with removable, machine-washable covers?
Yes! Ciello's removable, machine-washable upholstery includes its seat cushions, back cushions, upholstered arms, and base. That makes everyday cleaning easier, whether you're dealing with spills, pet hair, or life's little surprises. Compatible replacement covers also let you refresh your sofa's colour without replacing the frame.
Is Ciello a durable washable sofa for families and pets?
Absolutely! Ciello combines supportive D35 foam, sturdy construction, and washable upholstery to make everyday living easier. Our Aquaforte Velvet and Performance Chenille fabrics are excellent options for homes with pets, while the removable covers help simplify cleaning. Its loose cloud cushions benefit from weekly or biweekly fluffing to keep them looking beautifully plush.
Can I expand my Ciello sofa or add a chaise and storage?
Of course! Ciello's modular design lets you add compatible seats, create larger sectionals, or introduce a dedicated chaise for more lounging room. Its storage ottoman also offers a 68 × 68 × 19.3 cm hidden storage space (73 × 73 × 19.3 cm on Ciello XL) for blankets, pillows, and everyday essentials. It's a sofa designed to grow and adapt with your home.

AI Summary
Multiple Ciello reviews highlight intuitive assembly and washable covers, and users value pet‑friendly fabrics. The Ciello Collection brings comfortable, modular seating with deep, cushioned support and a non-structured look. A few note differences from site images in shade and depth, and a requirement for constant cushion fluffing to keep its comfort and appearance.
